Living Visionary: Catching up with the incredible members of the Visionary Community!
Meet Jillian.
Founder of Rising Raven Wellness
Welcome to Living Visionary!
In this series, Iβll be catching up with the incredible member of our Visionary Community from past and present.
This is a project that I started while I was on Maternity Leave (#VisionaryMama) with my first baby as a way to stay plugged in, inspired and rooted among the community of clients and students that Iβve supported over the last 10 years.
Enjoy, and if it feels appropriate please support their amazing businesses!
xx. Kels

Jillian Leslie is an integrative wellness & lifestyle mentor with a Bachelor of Science in Foods & Nutrition whose focus is on helping women recovering from burnout and loss bring back balance to their bodies, minds, and lives through practical, health & wellness habits.
As a woman who knows what it feels like when life knocks the wind out of you because of divorce, grief, career detoursβyou name it, sheβs not only walked through it, sheβs rebuilt her life more than once rooted and grounded in health & lifestyle.
Through her personal experiences, educational background and one on one coaching she helps guide women through lifeβs messy middle of change so they can feel balanced, confident, and at home in their body again.
Jillian lives in London, Ontario with her son and furbaby Kobe. She loves being outside in nature chasing glimpses of buck, eagles and sunsets, having fun in the kitchen with sourdough and trying new recipes and flirting with the idea of building her business without social media!

Be open and curious to learn to things, take time to reflect so you can learn from every experience (the good, the bad and the ugly) and always remember to give yourself the same grace & kindness you give to others.
Neverβ¦
say never, super cliche I know, but life has a way of taking you places you never thought youβd go.
Advice for other entrepreneurs, who are slightly less far alongβ¦
Entrepreneurship will teach you so much about yourself, others and the ups & downs of what business is really like; my best advice is - donβt quit when things get tough, pause, reflect on whatβs going on, take time to refocus and keep going!
Tool, resource, podcast, book or person youβve invested in thatβs added value to your entrepreneurial journey
I first worked with Kelsey back in 2018 when I was just starting out and even though I was nervous to invest in a coach and myself it was one of the best things I did - donβt be afraid to invest in the right people and resources even early on.
Being part of masterminds like WAVE and group coaching have not only led to growth as a business owner but connecting and building relationships with other entrepreneurs that I never would have met otherwise because we live in different cities. These connections have also led to collaborating and working together which has been so much fun.
Thereβs also a few books Iβve read over the years that still stand out today - one that had a big impact on me though was The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy.
Tell us more about your business (what do you do, who do you help, what does your workday look like, how do people find out about you).
Currently I still work my fulltime job as well as running my own business so my days vary depending on whatβs going on, keeps me on my toes thatβs for sure but I love it.
At Rising Raven Wellness I help women who feel burned out, overwhelmed by lifeβs shifts, or are feeling disconnected as a result of big life changes restore their energy, gain clarity & confidence by blending nutrition, movement, mindset, and simple daily habits to help women feel like themselves again.
Another way I work with people is through sourdough workshops that I began teaching in 2023. This might seem like an unusual connection but sourdough for me was a very therapeutic practice I picked up in the midst of deep grief and loss. Eventually it transformed into something I get to teach and share with others as both a nourishing kitchen skill and a beautiful selfcare hobby that nurtures the soul!

Recent milestone youβve celebrated in your business
This year I was focused on rebranding my business to align more with what is in my heart to do, who and how I help and Iβm loving how itβs come along!
Favourite way to wind down after a long workweek.
Itβs pretty basic to be honest, but Friday nights I usually make homemade sourdough pizza for my son and I, cuddle up with my dog and watch a show or movieβ¦and then sleep in on Saturdays lol
Before starting my workday, I make sure toβ¦
Get outside for a walk with my dog, read my morning devotional and have my quiet time with a coffee
Best part of my work isβ¦
Being able to help women understand that they arenβt broken because theyβre struggling with something. I love hearing how supported they felt because they felt cared for as an individual not put in a box that required an all or nothing mentality.
Hearing from them that they are being gracious with themselves with the changes they are making is a huge shift for many women who feel pressure to do it all at once or it doesnβt count. When they tell me how much better they feel - body and mind. It makes my heart so happy to know that my work has such a positive impact.
Tips for someone who is hesitant to follow their heart and start their own business?
Work on truly believing in yourself and the business idea. If you are not confident, it can show through and clients are less likely to join.
Last vacation you took (and where did you go)β¦
Itβs been a while since Iβve travelledβ¦I think thatβs a sign to book a getaway for 2026!
Bucket list vacation that you hope to embark on in the next 5 years (where to and why?)
Thereβs this place in Juneau, Alaska called Tongass Treehouse that I stumbled across on IG, itβs a treehouse in a rainforest canopy where you can catch whale, orca, eagles and bear sighting (not sure how I feel about the bears) but I think it would be such an incredible experience.
