Living Visionary: Catching up with the incredible members of the Visionary Community!
In this series, I’ll be catching up with the incredible member of our Visionary Community from past and present.
This is a project that I started while I was on Maternity Leave (#VisionaryMama) with my first baby as a way to stay plugged in, inspired and rooted among the community of clients and students that I’ve supported over the last (almost) 8 years.
Enjoy, and if it feels appropriate please support their amazing businesses!

Advice for other entrepreneurs, who are slightly less far along…
Building a business is a long game and it’s normal to look around and feel like you’re missing something, not doing it right or not moving as fast as others around you.
But the reality is, when you’re building something sustainable you need to build it your own way, in your own time. What’s the rush?
Tool, resource, podcast, book or person you’ve invested in that’s added value to your entrepreneurial journey
Kelsey Reidl’s Podcast, Laura Sinclair for coaching, and aligned networking events such as Wave and High Vibe Women.
Tell us more about your business (what do you do, who do you help, what does your workday look like, how do people find out about you).
I’m a copywriter for heart-led brands and leaders who want to connect on an emotional level with their audience. I believe that this is the key to selling in a way that feel good for both you and your audience.
My typical workday looks like client calls where I learn the inside of their brand and their messaging, then I will do research and create comprehensive summaries to help me have a full understanding of my client and their target audience.
After research I get into writing! It usually starts with a not-so-pretty first draft but I chip away at it until it’s smooth, converting copy.
People typically find out about me from past clients, people in my community or on Instagram. I’m also big on in person events so a lot of times I will connect with people there.
Recent milestone you’ve celebrated in your business?
I quit my job of 10+ years in banking in April 2024 and have been working full-time from home in my business.
It was my goal when I first started out and it’s been absolutely incredible - I’ve never wanted to turn back which is a really great feeling.
Favourite way to wind down after a long workweek.
Having dinner with my family, getting the kids to bed for an early bedtime and watching a show or reading a book with my husband. Then getting an early bedtime myself.
Before starting my workday, I make sure to…
Clear my head. Because my work can be really deeply creative and relies on my brain, I always make sure to have a clear head before I sit down to work. I do this by journaling or going for a walk with my pup.
Best part of my work is…
All of it. Just kidding. I think it’s just so fulfilling. I love who I work with and the results they have after working together whether that’s confidence in what they’re saying or more leads and higher conversions.
I love that I can work from home and be with my family on my own terms. And I love getting to meet and connect with other business owners who have the same passion and drive that I do.
Tips for someone who is hesitant to follow their heart and start their own business?
Take messy action. Nobody actually knows what they’re doing at the start, but if you take messy action you can at least figure it out along the way instead of always wondering ‘what if?’.
Last vacation you took (and where did you go)…
Camping with our trailer at Pinehurst Conservation Park.
Bucket list vacation that you hope to embark on in the next 5 years (where to and why?)
I’ve always been obsessed with England and Ireland, and we did go a long time ago, but I’d love to go back and see more of both countries.
